What is Avery & Cal?

Avery & Cal is an indulgence that marries the convenience of online shopping with the luxury of an expert stylist who will curate a box of personalized hair care products just for you! Share a little about your lifestyle, your hair and the results you’re hoping to achieve. From there, your Personal Stylist will hand-pick products to fit your needs and budget—and mail them right to your door. SHIPPING IS ALWAYS ON US!  

How does it work?

1. Fill out the Hair Profile

This information will help your Stylist understand your hair care product needs based on your hair type, lifestyle, and desired outcome. Completing a profile takes about 5-10 minutes.

2. Pick the Avery & Cal Collection you’d like to receive in your shipment.

Each Collection contains professional hair care products with a retail value greater than or equal to the price of the Collection.

3. Subscribe

Once you’ve set up recurring shipments, we'll automatically schedule the delivery date. You can always choose an alternative date if needed or stop regularly scheduled shipments at any time. Avery & Cal does not require a membership fee.

4. Check out and Delivery

Sign into your account, choose your payment option and anxiously await your Avery & Cal delivery!

(Easily return items that arrive damaged in the prepaid envelope and drop it into any USPS mailbox.)

We love to hear feedback on the items you've received! Telling us what you loved, didn’t prefer, and why helps your Stylist know what to send in future Avery & Cal deliveries.

How is it different from shopping online or brick & mortar?

At Avery & Cal, we understand that online shopping can be difficult when you don’t know exactly what you need.  Our licensed professional stylists consider your hair type and lifestyle, so there is no guesswork or the risk of ending up with a cabinet full of products you don’t use. Brick and mortar shopping can be just as treacherous when you walk in and are overwhelmed by choices and no professional guidance from a licensed stylist. Many of our clients enjoy the ease and convenience of automatically scheduled shipments that arrive at a frequency of their choosing.

What types of items should I expect to see in my Collection delivery?

Because of our clients’ individual hair care needs, we carry a wide range of professional hair care product lines. This isn’t the junk you’re going to find in your neighborhood drugstore or grocery superstore!

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to all 50 U.S. states.  Your Collection will be on it’s way to you within 2 business days of your order being placed.

Can I request specific products?

You can leave a note for your Stylist whenever you schedule a shipment. We recommend giving your Stylist detailed information when filling out your profile. For example, instead of a specific brand, please let her know you’d love to receive a volumizer and then she can choose the best product for you.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your card on file will be charged at the time your initial order is placed, and then again each time your subsequent orders ship.  You will receive emails keeping you in the loop of your charges and shipments.

How do I change or cancel my automatic deliveries?

From your Avery & Cal personal account page, click on the option that suits you. If you want to skip your next shipment, you don’t need to change your subscription. When you select this option, we won’t send your next scheduled shipment, but your delivery schedule will resume as usual for the following shipment. If we’re already working on your next shipment, this option won’t appear on your account homepage and you’ll need to contact us to check if there is still time to cancel your next shipment.

To cancel your automatic deliveries, click on “Manage Automatic Deliveries” on your account homepage. When you cancel your automatic shipments you can also select to cancel your upcoming shipment. If you don’t cancel your next shipment, it will still arrive on the requested date.

How do returns work?

We are confident that your Stylist will send you products that you will be thrilled with!  Part of the fun is trying new things and enjoying the experience of revealing what’s inside your Collection Box.  If, in the unfortunate event, anything in your package is damaged due to shipment, we will be happy to immediately replace it for you. Please use the prepaid return label and have it postmarked within 3 days of the date you received your package. Drop your returns in your mailbox, a USPS drop box or the post office.  

How do I purchase a gift card?

Giving away a series of great hair days to your friends and family is always a great gift idea! You can purchase a gift card by clicking on the “Gift Cards” tab on the top right corner of the Avery & Cal homepage. There are three options for giving: mail, email and print-at-home.

How do I redeem my gift card?

Redeem your gift card at checkout. You must be signed in as an Avery & Cal user to apply it to your account.

Can I communicate with my Stylist?

You are welcome to email your stylist with product usage questions or guidance. You are also welcome to leave feedback for your stylist at any time.
